In this blog post, I’m going to show you how you can do the same. Whether you’re telling a story, making a presentation pop, or creating a reel that grabs attention, AI can help you craft amazing images from just your words. No more settling for “close enough” – you get what you want, and it’s free! Let’s get started.Don’t Just Search – Create!
For years, I hunted for free image websites that wouldn’t get me in trouble with copyright rules. I found some good ones like Pixabay, but even then, they didn’t always have what I pictured in my mind. Then AI came along, and wow – it’s like the sky’s the limit now! With AI tools, you don’t search for images; you create them. All you need is your imagination and a few simple words. How cool is that?
Only Three Things You Need – Completely Free!
You don’t need fancy skills or expensive software. Here’s all it takes:
- Your Imagination: Picture what you want and describe it in simple words.
- A Free AI Tool which supports “text to image”: There are tons out there, like Bing AI Image Creator, DeepSeek, or even Grok by xAI My favorite? Bing AI – it’s free and super easy.
- A Good Prompt: This is just your description, but tweaking it a little can make a big difference.
That’s it! Let’s break it down step by step.
Step-by-Step Guide: Create Your First AI Image
Step 1: Dream It Up
Close your eyes and imagine your picture. What’s happening? Who’s there? What’s the setting? What feeling do you want – peaceful, dramatic, inspiring? For my Paul example, I saw a gritty, hopeful scene of faith in tough times.
Step 2: Write a Simple Prompt
Turn your idea into words. Keep it clear and short. Here’s what I used for Paul:
“Paul the Apostle sitting in a Roman prison, writing on a scroll with a quill, lit by a flickering candle, stone walls around him, a look of determination, realistic style.”
See? Simple, but specific. If it’s not perfect at first, tweak it – add words like “warm light,” “detailed,” or “ancient vibe” to get closer.
Step 3: Pick Your Tool
Go to a free AI tool. I love Bing AI Image Creator because you just sign in with a Microsoft account (free!) and type your prompt. Other options like Canva’s AI tool or DeepSeek work too – try a few and find your favorite!
Step 4: Hit Create and Watch the Magic
Type your prompt, click “Generate” (or whatever the button says), and wait a few seconds. The AI will give you a few versions. Pick the one you love best. For my Paul image, I got four options, and one was just right!
Step 5: Tweak If Needed
Not quite there? Change your prompt a bit. For example, if it’s too dark, add “brighter candlelight.” If it’s too plain, say “add chains or texture to the walls.” Here’s a tweaked version of my prompt:
“Paul the Apostle sitting in a Roman prison, writing on a scroll with a quill, glowing candlelight, rough stone walls with chains, intense expression, ultra-realistic, dramatic style.”
Keep adjusting until it’s perfect.
Step 6: Download and Use
Once you’re happy, download the image (usually a “Save” or “Download” button). Pop it into your PowerPoint, Bible study handout, or wherever – it’s yours to use, no copyright hassle!
Not Just Fun – It Saves Time!
Using AI to create images isn’t just fun – it saves time, solves problems, and makes your work stand out. Whether it’s a client pitch, a team meeting, or a company social media post, you’ll impress everyone with something totally unique. And it’s free! No more digging through stock photos that don’t fit.
