Today was truly special. I hosted a small, personalized “Boost Your Score” workshop for board-exam students: from Class 10 and from Class 12.
The focus was practical: how neat structure, underlines, bullets, and diagrams can make the answer paper more neat and appealing and how it can easily add extra marks. Students attempted one question live, then we refined it together with tips to make it more presentable and impress the examiner.
The core objectives were as follows:
- Tips to convert an average-scoring answer into a high-scoring one
- Tips to guess the examiner’s answer key & marking scheme
- Tips to write confidently and earn at least half a mark extra wherever possible
Seeing the before-and-after scans was rewarding, everyone showed clear improvement in structure, clarity, and examiner appeal. Grateful for their enthusiasm and quick uptake of the BOOST approach (Begin Strong, Organize in Points, Outline Keywords, Sketch Neatly, Tie It Up).
I scanned their answer papers before and after the session. The improvement was clear and exciting:
- Before: Long blocks of text, no clear structure, missing underlines or labels. Typical score: 2–3 out of 5 marks question.
- After: Clean headings, bullet/numbered steps, underlined keywords, boxed equations, neat logic flow, strong “Hence proved” endings and so on. This will at-least help them score 4/5 marks.
Here is a Before & After Screenshot of an Answer Paper of a stuent (scanned during the workshop)
Before:
- There was no margin
- No headings
- No clear organization of points
After the session, the student learned how to present the same answer in a better way.
Our Simple Acronym: BOOST
Begin Strong – Clear intro/assumption.
Organize in Points – Bullets/steps over paragraphs.
Outline Keywords – Underline what examiners look for.
Sketch Neatly – Ruler + labels + pencil for diagrams.
Tie It Up – Strong conclusion/proof statement.
We practiced real questions for 5 marks (10 minutes timer): p-n junction diode (for Class 12), Ampere’s circuital law (for Class 12), √7 irrational proof (for Class 10) etc.
I handed over their before & after answer papers!
Everyone left with stronger papers and real confidence.

For those who needs some final Tips for Board Students (2026) here are some of them
- Apply BOOST in every mock test, presentation is free marks. Remember, your examiner doesn’t know you (or your past performance), he sees only your paper. It’s your best opportunity to impress him and get your best score.
- Use ruler + pencil for diagrams, underline keywords, box formulas. (Use a single strike instead of scribbling)
- Structure is more important than unorganized content: Examiners reward clarity (especially in digital/OSM marking).
- Stay calm, plan your paper, finish strong.
- Last but not the least, trust in God. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
You’ve got this, exams start soon (Maths Class 10 on Feb 17, Physics Class 12 on Feb 20. Write confidently!

Thank God for this wonderful opportunity to impact these young students, even in a small way.
It has been my long-term dream to support board-exam aspirants every year. I always look for chances to do something meaningful for them, and this time it finally happened through the “Boost Your Score” workshop.
